Verb Correction-Past Continuous Tense

A child  was playing with new toys yesterday. 2. He  was studying literature last year 3. She  was playing tennis yesterday. In  Negative sentences Subject+ does not + 1st form of the Verb + Object 4. A child  was not playing with new toys. 5. He  was not   studying  literature. 6. She was  not  playing  tennis yesterday. In  Interrogative sentences Was + subject+ (Verb+ing) + Object? Were + subject+ (Verb+ing) + Object? Note: 'was' with I, he, she, it and singular nouns, and 'were' is with You, they, we and plural nouns. 7. Was a child playing with new toys? 8. Were they studying  literature? 9. Was she playing tennis? In  Negative Interrogative  sentences, Were + subject+ not 1st form of the Verb+ Object? 10. Was a child not playing with  new toys?
